Editing the video (if spending time on it non stop), can take 2 to 3 days. However, that will be a rushed product, and that is not how we prefer to deliver our services. This will also not be the final version, as the bridal couple still have to review the video and see if they are satisfied. With this in mind, we prefer a bit of longer time, to spend really good time on the edit, and be certain about some of the editing decisions that we are making. On a different note, for about 2 to 3 weeks, the day is still fresh in your mind. This is where it is a bit of rewarding to wait a little bit for the video (or videos). Give some time for the “high” you are on to die down a bit. When enough time has passed, you will receive the videos, and can relive the day all over again. We also do not want to take forever with the video, and make you wait 6 months. So the sweet spot to deliver the videos are 4 to 6 weeks.
Yes, a 50% deposit is payable to confirm your booking. Another 25% is payable a week before your wedding, and the remainder 25% is payable before we send you the first draft of the video. We believe this makes it fair for both parties. You do not pay one full amount, and wonder of we are going to deliver, from our side, the deposit is a bit of a security, confirming the seriousness of the client.
Yes, we can work out a plan for you, running up to your big day. Please feel free to talk to us, and we can discuss and plan a payment plan that will work for your budget.
Normal practice in the video and film industry, we do not release the raw footage as the service is only for the final product. The raw footage also doesn’t alway look good for the location/venue or the people on the raw footage. We spend hours, with specialised software to make it look good and cinematic. For a company to release raw footage, they put themselves at risk, as the raw footage is not always being treated and processed the way it was intended by the videographer.
No, we do not charge a hourly rate. We charge for the product. For us to deliver the product, we need to be there the whole day, and capture as much as possible. Then we can edit and work on the product that you prefer. There are options that were calculated based on hours for smaller weddings, but still remains a set service and product. All the packages pricing for shooting and editing are worked into the pricing. It is not your responsibility if we take 20 hours to edit a video, where it could have taken only 10 hours.
